EA Montreal game reveal next Thurs

Army of Two sequel likeliest candidate.

Electronic Arts has said that its Montreal studio will announce a new game on Thursday, 12th March.

According to a press release issued yesterday evening, the studio will be having investors and press round for tea on Monday to show off the game under embargo.

You will then get to find out what it's about in a press release on 12th March, with information from the briefing pitching up on 16th March.

So what's the game? Well, EA Montreal is already known to be working on Wii and DS title Need for Speed: Nitro, so we can be sure it's not that.

The smart money, then, is on a sequel to the studio's first game, Army of Two, especially after EA Games label president Frank Gibeau admitted last year that the publisher has "sequel ideas planned for [Army of Two and Battlefield: Bad Company]".

We'll just have to wait and see.
