EA making strides into Hollywood News

EA has signed a top Hollywood agency to help turn game IP into blockbuster movies and television series.

Projects in development include an animated TV show version of MySims, a previously announced Sims movie and the Dead Space animated DVD project. The latter is due to launch with the game later this year.

United Talent Agency believes EA has "untapped IP" ready to be explored, with Army of Two, Need for Speed, and Mirror's Edge all mentioned in the statement.

Dates and details for some of the upcoming projects are still scarce.

The Sims has already been turned into a movie. Sort of.

Seriously though, those Harry Potter games would make awesome movies. They should start with those.

A Sims movie franchise could be interesting.

The first film could be about the life of some family - their hopes, their dreams and whatnot.

The second film could be a disturbing psychological film about a man who goes to the toilet and finds that the door vanishes whilst he's in there and that he'll never escape.

Even if they do manage to find an idea of how to make a Sims movie AND animated series (fuck!!!), I think the people who (still) play Sims a few hours a day, and then fill the rest of their time watching Sims series and movies, should get their asses smacked huge time...
