I've never been any good at C&C games but love to play 'em. Hope they keep Scrin and introduce a 4th faction!

C&C3 sold really well. In fact the limited edition special "C&C 3: Kane Edition" sold so well they had to enforce a limit of 100 thousand copies to keep it exclusive after they printed a few thousand special editions(about how many Special Editions get sold for the average game). The C&C franchise has over 25 million copies to its name and several million have come the last few years from Tiberium Wars plus its expansion, The First Decade(compilation pack) and Red Alert 3. Of course everybody knows if a game isn't popular it sucks. Thats why Wii Fit is the best game ever right? Shame there are are so many narrow minded morons in the world, I wonder how many people still believe the world is flat?

Since C&C4 requires players to be online all the time in order to prevent cheating, we'll be shipping without any form of DRM. One of our goals with Command & Conquer 4 was to come up with a more flexible, streamlined approach to base building, and the Crawler was the end result of that investigation. Rather than construct a series of structures to build and modify your army--as you would have in previous C&C titles--everything you can create, be it unit, structure, power, or upgrade, comes from your Crawler. |

crawler ey? is that the 21st century war fare?! everything has to be in mobile units, tanks are just pointless nowadays. it's all about planes highly mobile elite troops. then when it all goes tits up we'll send in the reinforcements in the form of ground troops, since tanks are still valnurable to all these road side bombs and all... should be good ;)

The screenshot that was floating around had a few nice looking units on it. One in particular was the unit in the bottom right corner that looked a lot like the old Mammoth Mk II - hopefully it's the Mammoth Mk IV. While it's just a guess, energy weapons seem to be the order of the day all around this time as the GDI units seemed to be firing some sort of pulse weapon.
I'm looking forward to it - whereas Red Alert goes down the B-Movie tounge in cheek path, the Tiberian series plays it straighter but without taking itself too seriously, makes for a nice contrast between the 2. Plus it more than makes up for the scrapping of Tiberium which was looking good. |

And World in Conflict/Shattered Galaxy (class based subfactions)... and Universe At War (mobile bases with a punch)... and any MMORTS (you have to play online all the time in C&C4 apparently). No problem they copy so much, at least it won't be standard-fare stuff like C&C3 and RA3 then. |

Yes i enjoyed C&C3 also, and will most likely also get 4. Hope they have the same cast, it was excellent, Michael Ironside is a legend :)

Firstoff, I'll state Command and Conquer are a nice set of games (Although TA is better)
But I hate the fact that it's generated unenthusiastic (and terrible) B actors getting involved in games in badly directed cutscenes. Before I get hounded, I'm not exclusively naming C&C as the worse culprit, but it still spread it terribly.

I enjoyed C&C3 but it was a little underwhelming, didn't really feel special in anyway. I hope this one can kick it up a notch, but if not, it should still be fun.

I got the C&C3 deluxe edition (orig and expansion) only last month. Played about halfway through the campaign but unlike RA3 I couldn't summon the motivation to play through it; it was too old school and there wasn't anything particularly interesting for me. Shame really, I can see why others would really like it.
Agree with HenryVIII, I really wish they would slow the game down slightly. RA1 differentiated itself from StarCraft 1 by being slower, they should continue to do so.
