Vice.Destroyer, I can't help it I was a sucker for those board games as a kid. All I need now is Mouse Trap, Family fortunes, Operation and Buckaroo!!! :)

I actually fancy those, although only if the price is right. Especially something as simple as Connect Four. Although if sold seperately, how many achievements could you have on Connect Four? Win games, lose games... not much else.

Or will they be in a pack, like the DS game?

My first ever encounter with Battleship was this game: http://hol.abime.net/75

I didn't even know it was a boardgame, and when I saw it in the stores I thought "hey, they made a boardgame of an Amiga game!".

What's this Sorry! Sliders anyway? Did they try to make Sorry! more trendy along the way or something?

Edit: Ah, apparently it's an almost entirely different game apart from the name. Weird.

I sense a few misty-eyed rose-tinted spectacle wearing types in the comments section today ;)

Connect 4: Wears thin once you reach a certain age - like noughts and crosses (Or OXO) you'll always end up playing to a draw.

I'm a little worried about the potential quality of the titles and price point - after Dash of Destruction, could this be the beginning of the rise of shovelware on live arcade? Do casual gaming and shovelware go hand-in-hand? Kind of like a yin-yang thing maybe...

There really are a lot of opportunities for boardgames online IMHO. It is an untapped (casual) market.

They should do a middle priced pack with all these games.
Kind of like simulating a virtual room, being able to bring your group of friends into it, with your avatar sitting at a table and being able to play all these games on the same session with your group friends.
800 points would be nice 400 points perfect for such a pack.
Then you could have downlable packs of different games to add to the room

(Individually, 400 points each game is way too expensive)

Shitty shovel ware that doesnt deserve to be even mentioned on live if MS are serious about keeping quality up.

Most of these have been done to death several times over and serve no purpose other than to push the quality bar down.
