I love my MMOs too kami - i used to post under "RinoaMW" (in all the FFXI threads) if you recall. But i want in-game shots!

Just to repost stills from the cool CGI trailer i've already seen just seems mean!

Aha, I remember you ZH! But I do agree, rendered FMV can be deceptive. I doubt we'll see gameplay until Leipzig or TGS. This just confirmed that the next MMO will use the Final Fantasy moniker.

Still... waaaaaaaaant. Here's hoping with every fibre of my being that it works better than FFXI ever did.

I don't think the online games should be numbered. They should just be Final Fantasy online.

Can't say I'm bothered at all about this. I've found the last couple of FF games to be terribly boring.

Why always the generic futuristic world setting (where people use swords?!?).

Why not base a FF in Glasgow's East End. There's a fair few monsters around there that some foppy haired guy would struggle to obliterate.

Square Enix - You can have that one for free.

For all it's accessibility and enjoyment, World of Warcraft and Blizzard can never rival Square-Enix when it comes to art style and sound.

This game looks beautiful, but unfortunately I really don't have the drive to bother with MMORPGs like this. Still, I can admire from afar.

You sound like an art critic crofto :P

Who knows, maybe this game will be more accessible than FFXI*? Even though i loved it - i admit it was very hard going.

EDIT: * remember FFXI has been around for much longer than WoW, and was built around much older MMO mechanics.

More lowest common denominator fantasy kitsch with 1980's airbrush aesthetics. Don't mind SE's games, and even quite enjoy TLR at the moment, but I really can't stand the visuals. It's like being drawn into the cover of a cheap airport fantasy novel.
