Yes agree with Vistrix, for example L4D is exclusive to Xbox, even though its available on PC. So i guess Sony can get away with it, depends on if it will at some point come out on the Xbox... all very confusing, I am generally happy when something is multiplatform, and the internal dev teams make something exclusive.

I think the phrase people are looking for is 'console exclusive'.
PC is a whole different kettle of fish. |

Though the word might be console exclusive, its amazing how many times these people (Sony and MS) forget to use that and drop the "Console" bit ;)

Exclusive to PS3, oh and its coming to PC, oh and we are more than likely going to make it for Xbox 360 as well.

Will there be a matching pricing structure? I'd like to see lower rates for occasional players; some sort of pay-as-you-play would be cool... that's how these things started off, after all =) Does anyone currently offer that? |

Im looking forward to this, I had XI on the 360 for a while so having the same type of characters will be nice, I dropped the 360 version after about 3 months though beacuse it was just so slow to load & took up pretty much all of my HDD. lets hope the new game is optimised for the consoles a little better.

I played 11 Online for something like 360+ days play time, granted some of that was when it was left online selling things but christ it took the best part of a year to reach the level cap but the job system is the best of its kind, none of the this "alt" rubbish like WoW you just go into your "home" and swap to whatever you want to play as. /wants betta spot |

depends whether you believe sony or not... sony said playstation 3 was the only console you will be able to play final fantasy 14 on. however microsoft said every game at the conference was exclusive except the first few and then mgs rising was on ps3 so....

A 2 page article about FF XIV and all you guys can do is cream yourselves over who's better/worse: MS or Sony?
I, for one, am looking forward to this but not overly excited about the game, despite being an FF fan. Perhaps when it gets closer to a release date we'll have more details about it. Never played FF XI though. I've heard good things about it but was it very popular? Is it a total time eater? |

And if you read the article ONCE more with emphasis on the part that they say they consider of also other hardware like microsoft's console, you might realise that there is NO exclusivity even if it wasnt coming out on the PC. -Fact- |

Take a look at the FFXIV Online Forums there's some up-to-date stuff there, basically the game is going to center around leveling weapons instead of characters per say. There's no confirmed FFXIV Release Date, however, 2010 is the expected year.

This game looks stunning. I think even the early skeptics will be impressed. If Square Enix improves the areas where FFXI fell short, I'm sure it will be an amazing online experience.

I'm sure that Final Fantasy XIV is a timed exclusive on the PS3, just wait for the announcement from Microsoft, hehe. Final Fantasy XIII is on both consoles, why not this game?
