So the engine does better graphics. I see, is this why those screens still look like a PS2 game .... what a joke... it's obvious they havent spent time on the graphics which clearly means they didnt spend time on anything else.

I have a soft spot for the ol' Koei hack-'em-ups. Mindless and repetitive, sure. But oh-so-much fun. In a 'Holy crap, I just killed 1000 people with my bare hands' kind of way.

Oh I very much doubt it Sir. it might be you perhaps :) The game Does indeed look lik e a PS2 game. Just giving links to screenshots doesn't prove your point. They look good, certainly better than PS2 quality. In fact the images are in HD, so that's already a step up, plus they show HDR lighting, and more detailed character models. it's clearly a better looking game. That said, the environment in the background of the 3rd image you've linked to is barely PSone quality - big jagged rocks that belong in the original Tomb Raider! But the other images and videos show there are a range of environments, such as castles and naval battles, so it 's hardly reflective of the games quality. |

I don't understand why Dynasty Warriors / Gundam games are so popular in Japan. Every single one of them is the same crap over and over - button mash through hundreds of automatons and repeat over and over until the game ends. The Japanese probably have the same disdain of FPS titles and they'd be right to some extent too.

Too right dryxm, and yes those three screens do look like a PS2 game, in a rose tinted nostalgic sorta way. I'm sure if we went back and had a look at one of the Ps2 installments we'd think "omg, that looks like doggie droppings," not that graphics matter but its still an indication of how little effort and imagination is put into these games.
Boycott em till they do it proper like guv'nor!

The Japanese just loves Chinese History games, especially Three Kingdoms period... I read the book, its actually pretty good.
