I love the fact that people are poo-pooing the need for Backwards Compatibility so you can play your old disks on next-gen machines but are quite willing to buy the emulated releases of the same games. lol.

I tried to get my Duke Nukem 3.5 floppies in my 360 but nothing happened!???

It'll make it. Not until the Next-Gen consoles appear but Duke 3D will make it to your TV. :)

Love the game but have it as an original pc game and can't see the point in paying out for a conversion to 360.

I disagree about needing the keyboard. Having played the Project Sylpheed demo, I suddenly realised how easy it would be to use the pad to control the craft in an XBLA verision of FS1 or 2.

There'd need to be a couple of alterations - first and most importantly, stop the right stick from looking around! But seeing as that was never a feature of FS1 and 2, that shouldn't be too difficult.

Having a button mapped as a 'shift' key, so that when held down it makes one (or both) of the sticks control a radial dial of options, much like the buy menu for Counter-Strike on the Xbox, would give most of the keyboard commands required, such as controlling engine/shields/weapons power levels (maybe left stick) and wingman commands (maybe right stick).

It would also allow the triggers to still be available for primary/secondary fire and the bumpers for throttle up/down (with double-tap throttle-up being after-burner and double-tap throttle-down for match target's speed).

And you've still got three buttons, the whole d-pad and the 'back' button available.

/Too much thought is going into this. If only I could dump my brain meats into the skull of a willing and worthy developer....

I LOVED that game. One of the few magazine cover disk demos I kept hold of when I went to uni, along with Fury of the Furries!

Oh gods yes! BLOOD! I've been so after a copy of that for the PC, but having it on the 360 would be pretty damn good.
