Foul-mouthed shooter to cost 800 Points.

Duke Nukem 3D will be the Xbox Live Arcade addition today, and will cost 800 MS Points (GBP 6.80 / EUR 9.60) to download.

The game, a real Sean Connery of shooters, pitches hard-man Duke against waves and waves warthog-like alien baddies. His tools of the trade are shotguns, pipe bombs, and rocket-propelled grenades (if you can find it - use the jetpack!). And his vices are scantily clad ladies plus a potty mouth responsible for some gravelly adult quips.

Most exciting is the online deathmatch bundled with the Xbox Live Arcade reincarnation, although there are the usual Achievements to hanker after, leaderboards to climb and improved presentation to admire.

One of the stand out games of the past if you ask us, and we'll be bringing you our Duke Nukem 3D review as soon as possible.

Last Wednesday their was an advert on live for an (arcade) Zombie game, then their was not..........
I went to "click" on the advert so I could try/buy, but nothing.Did I imagine it ?

I never played this on the PC sadly - it was out before I bought my first one - but I did play the PS then N64 versions and I loved it for its humour and superbly designed levels. I'll definitely be checking this out later... I understand that they've kept the blocky 2D sprites... I'm fine with that as it never spoilt Doom.

It was probably Zombie Wranglers, from the same developer that made Elements of Destruction.

time to kick arse and chew bubble gum - but i'm all outta gum - the king of one liners returns

too many games out at the moment - i need to have some kind of accident in october that allows me to be off work with sick pay for about a month and still play games... its times like this where i wish i had a friend or family member who was a doctor

It's a good port. Instantly took me back to death matching across the college lan. But, I dunno, I guess the rose tinted glasses came into play on this one.

Just something missing. Maybe it's the lan. Must arrange deathmatch.

Apparently this is not available in my location - for which I have to lie because Live is *still* not officially supported in Greece... Who knows, maybe they will complete it next time...

Defintely better than I remembered it, even if 800 points is still a bit steep.

I don't remember the vomit-inducing 3d effects when looking up though. Where they there before?
