Driver Collector's Ed has yellow toy car
That and other bits for £70.
The PAL Collector's Edition of Driver: San Francisco comes with a yellow toy car and costs £70.
That's the RRP, although GAME has chopped that to £59.99, and HMV lowered to £64.99. They're the selected retail partners and they're taking pre-orders now.
The toy car is, more specifically, an 18x9x9cm replica of a 1970 Dodge Challenger. Also in the box is a map of San Francisco, codes for two in-game vehicles and a Mass Chase challenge.
More features are "yet to be unveiled".
Driver: San Francisco will be released on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 during the fourth quarter of 2010. GAME reckons the date is 19th November, but that's likely to be a guesstimate at this point.
We'll check it out.

Which is kinda stupid, going up against GT5 and Need For Speed Hot Pursuit.

Going up against GT5 is actually not a bad idea, since the PC/360 owners may want something with cars when that comes out.
But against NFS: HP... yeah. For any other NFS I wouldn't care, but Hot Pursuit makes me want to sniff a manual too.

Surely he could just "Shift" into the car he's chasing and take the guys out. Problem solved.
I'll be waiting for the demo that's for sure. Although nice collector's edition and as a few have mentioned you'd probably have more fun playing with that model car than the game. And it isn't a toy car unless you can roll it on the ground whilst making engine and screeching tyre sounds or open the doors up and make it fly like the Mask cartoons.
