Schedule to begin with Sonic/Crazy Taxi.

SEGA has confirmed rumours that it plans to begin releasing Dreamcast titles on PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade.

Sonic Adventure will arrive this autumn and Crazy Taxi will be the second title to appear at a later date.

According to the announcement, the original games will be transferred intact but with updated high-resolution visuals and surround sound, online leaderboards, Achievements and Trophies.

Both titles should be at E3.

I think Fire Pro Wrestling would make a good addition to xbla/psn, I also liked that Die hard game.

Crazy Taxi in high res with, hopefully (fingers crossed), ZERO pop up will be an insta-purchase for me. I had an unbelievable addiction to that game back in the Dreamcast days and I was bloody awesome at it too.
Not so much the arcade version mind.

Definitely good news, hopefully these re-releases can find new audiences that missed them the first time around. Still have my DC and although I rarely play it nowadays it really does have some fantastic games that shouldn't be passed up, even almost a decade on. I know I'll be picking up Sonic Adventure again, and if they did release Shenmue I'd have it in a heartbeat. Maybe it could attract enough interest so Sega may re-consider making part 3. Well it's pretty unlikely, but a boy can still dream I guess!

Hydro Thunder was the game that got me to buy a DC - loved the early track where you went over the dam wall towards the end of the track - amazing at the time, you just seemed to fall for AGES !!

I will play the crap out of Crazy Taxi if it has online leaderboards. I absolutely LOVE the original, and played it to death. My highest ever score was around 43k. Sadly, I can't play CT on my DC for longer than an hour, getting to around 30k ish and then all the buildings and roads start disappearing from the screen, kinda makes it a bit difficult to play... Shortly after it will just give me the 'Disc could not be read' message.
