Dragon's Lair for Blu-ray

Due out in April.

Dragon's Lair is on its way to PlayStation 3 early next month - and indeed anything else you might have that can play back Blu-ray films.

Digital Leisure sends word that the Blu-ray version of the former arcade and laserdisc adventure has been digitally restored and enhanced with 5.1 surround sound. It also features interviews with original creator Don Bluth, Gary Goldman and Rick Dyer, and a full-length "visual commentary" on the game - with all special features presented in 1080p.

It's due out on 9th April, and DL promises there are no "annoying pauses at decision points" in the game to slow down your experience.

Its website also suggests it's working on Dragon's Lair II and Space Ace Blu-ray editions, having used the first project to get to grips with the BD-J (Blu-ray Disc Java) interface. To keep an eye on its progress, feel free to lurk on the website.

And let's hope the end result is a bit better than Dragon's Lair 3D. Hrm.
