Dragon Quest: Journey of the Cursed King Reader Review

The Good: +Wonderful Graphics +Many hidden Items +Orchestral Soundtrack +Classic fighting system +Classic Storyline +Good Dungeon design

The Bad: -Maybe a bit too hard for beginners -from time to time many encounters

First of all,I played all RPGs I could get my hands on,so Iīm not easily impressed, but this game got me!

The Gameplay is marvellous!Itīs a real classic fighting system with much attention to detail. It doesnīt have changed much since DQVII,but it didt need to.The (for me) well balanced difficulty is exactly right, because youīre most time lucky, but if even easy enemys take out their killer attack,it getīs sometimes really challenging.

The Dungeon desing is also well made and never gets boring, which you see not that often. The Item creation is a nice little extra you also can spent much time with and motivates you testing much recipies.

The Graphics are simply stunning and shows whatīs possible in Cell-Shading.The wonderful character-designs from A.Toriyama are worth a look for everyone and even on the (really detailed) World-Map you call look really far whithout having slowdowns or loading times.

The Sound is outstanding, because they put the Orchestral Soundtrack in the Game and added (more or less god )Speech extra for the US-Version.

So...: This Game is a must have for every RPG-Fan and even for Final-Fantasy-Fanboys worth a look.Maybe beginners should take a look first.
