Forst!

Hmmm, Dragon Ball Z games are usually good for some insane fighting and stuff, so I still may pick this up.

I read that there's a DBZ fighting game on the Wii that's supposed to be quite good. It may even have been the port of this one. Hopefully Eurogamer will review it. Not that there's a backlog of Wii games to do.

It must be good if it's on the Wii. Even if it's exactly the same game you can probably add 4 points or so to the current score.

Stupid question, but are the manga books with Dragon Ball purely for kids? It's kinda hard to get your hands on decent manga unless you are willing to pay extensively for it where I live, though Dragon Ball books seems to sell for a dime a dozen.

Despite what some weird people say, yes they are. They are the western equivalent of 'The Beano'.

Irony noted. So you would think that Wii Sports would be just as fun without the motion control? The Wii controller could add 4 points to a game, or absolutely kill it with a bad implementation. Even if a Wii game is a direct port, you couldn't assume that the controls will just work or not, such is the difference between the control schemes.

The Wii port of this game is getting ok reviews on gamerankings...
And the DBZ manga books are very very simple, animation wise...
The story is sometimes very good, but it is essentialy not for serious adults...
If you feel like a kid sometimes it might be for you :)

Animation wise? Are they 'flick books' then? ;)

I'm pretty sure it must be "tenkaichi", as in "number one under the heavens (=on earth)".

If it would be "tenkachi", kanjis for chi could make it "ground on earth", "blood on earth", "intelligence on earth", "stupidity on earth", "breasts on earth"... Wait, maybe they should change it tenkachi!?

The Wii version is in a third-person perspective. It's much better, apparently.

Nah I read them when I was a kid. They're definitely for adults

@Poorandugly

I think that the first Dragonball saga is more "adult" oriented than Dragonball Z.

I had a good laugh with it for sure. Can't say the same for Z, which is more combat oriented, and lost a lot of the humor of it's predecessor.

So, if you want my opinion, go get the original Dragonball comics. You simply cannot go wrong with them!

I guess it is good enough for somebody ignorant on DBZ reviews a DBZ game for ignorants on DBZ.

However, it would be nice to see something DBZ properly reviewed. You should get somebody from Spain or France to do the review and translate it into English. Otherwise you can not possibly claim to represent "European" gaming, not with these washed down reviews...
