No full HD support... seems to confirm the suspects that the PS3 is not able to run a game at full HD without sacrificing the general level of detail.

This guy was the only developer that Sony allowed to talk because they had given him a script and told him exactly what to say. Tho I suppose he has to sound liek this to try and sell his game.

I wonder what most Ubi devs really think?

"Did you improve the game?"

"OMG! It's a totally new game that is so much better in every way!"

"So you basically ported it and added a couple of skins?"

"Yeh."

Unless they have totally overhauled the control scheme and eliminated all the tearing they can sod RIGHT off...

"I wonder what most Ubi devs really think?"

They probably think it isn't worth saying anything sensible because the idiot fanboys who seem to make up most of the gaming community will totally ignore it anyway.

The spy girl isn't new - she's in the multiplayer on 360 as well. Last time I played only the Frag Dolls were able to use the model, but it's in there.

I does not surprise me that the game will only render at 720. 1080 is a whole lot more difficult to accomplish. If a PS3 game runs at 1080p and looks probably a bit worse than on a 360 (running on 720) because it the developer did not have the chance yet to gain enough experience with the console it probably won't do any good for the PS3. The upscaler of the 360 works really well, 720 looks really good on 1080 too. People seeing games running on the PS3 usually don't care if it's 1080p or 720p if it does not look all that much better than on a 360. 720 is good enough for a sharp and clear picture on most TVs.

Exactly when did X360 become the saint of video gaming and PS3 the big, bad loser? Have you all forgotten about the incredible number of fuckin' fantastic PS2 titles, that keep being released until this very day?

Personally, I look to the future release of games at the begining of a hardware cycle. In this regard, the Xbox 360 is stronger, as it had a very impressive list of games on the horizon (with many tempting exclusives amongst them). I just gave my PS2 away to a friend as I haven't played it in almost a year - it's old hat since I started playing the 360.

I refused to buy the Xbox 360 version of Double Agent because the hideous tearing disgusted me in the single player campaign (I borrowed the game off a neighbour). I hope the PS3 version fixes this issue then I might consider buying it.

The success of the ps2 does not ensure an equally successful ps3. Seems like Sony took that too much for granted this gen, just like Nintendo did with the n64, while MS did a pretty good job with the 360.
