Along with Voodoo Dice.

Appearing on Xbox Live Arcade tomorrow will be Voodoo Dice and Doom 2.

The former is a puzzle game by Ubisoft that costs 800 Microsoft Points (Ł6.80/€9.60). Up to four people can play. We know little more than that; there are some pictures on the Xbox website.

Details are equally shady on Doom 2. But in Nerve Software - developer of the brilliant Doom XBLA remake - we trust. There's no mention of a price, but we expect the same 800 MSP price-tag that was used for Doom.

Shame like everything on Live its soo expensive would love to buy Doom 2 again but not a they're asking price.

it would be nice if they could make the d pad select weapons instead of scrolling forward and back using the bumpers. Not what you want in the middle of a firefight

I'm sure Doom was only 400 when released, I hardly think 15 year old Doom 2 is worth the same price as Perfect Dark, Afterburner, Rez etc.

Why don't they just get the rights to and release Jdoom on Live? It would be ten times better than the original version with all the Hi-res 3d models, lighting and Hd texture pack, plus the remixed soundtrack. It would be a blast to play co-op over live, and I'm pretty sure it would sell by the bucket load.

PS3 owners.... I don't believe MS bought exclusivity for Doom, so no idea why not unless it was simply a case of having someone doing the porting ie Nerve for XBL and Sony just ask someone and permission from ID?

Still classic don't ages and gonna get Doom2 and immerse myself in the 90s!

I loved it back around when it was released but for me Doom was getting stale even when Ultimate Doom was released on the PSOne. After being spoiled by recent Shooters don't think I could go back to playing D2. It hasn't aged well at all IMO.

A new episode? Really? And guess what - bloody Xbox gave me 3 RROD last night grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Second console in 3 yrs to do it so Microsoft won't be getting another console purchase from me!
Fortunately this one is under warranty but I'll have to wait til next week to play D2 now

As others have already said, Doom was 800 points when released on XBLA and then reduced to 400 when it entered the Arcade Hits section.

800 points is actually very good value for the amount of game you're getting and it's aged very well all things considered!
