Don King Boxing for Wii delayed News

Don King Boxing for Wii has been delayed thanks to "technical issues", publisher Take-Two said this morning.
"Due to technical issues the UK version is going to be slightly delayed, and we're going to be announcing a new release date very soon," a spokesperson told Eurogamer.
The game, which adds gesture control options to last year's Don King presents: Prizefighter on Xbox 360, had been due out last Friday, 27th March.
As for what those technical issues are, we can only speculate. So we will: the boats are made of the wrong cabbages.

Doesn't matter... it'll be rubbish anyway. Just look at how bad Ready 2 Rumble turned out? The Xbox 360 original was mediocre so imagine the same game with worst graphics and more frustrating inaccurate Wii remote controls and it's damn hard to imagine it'll be any good really. Just like 90% of Wii games really.

Eurogamer are being far too restrained - I expected some serious April Fools pranking on here today, and all I get is a wet delay announcement about Don King's Boxing. Pfff!

This just got reviewed on IGN and the controls weren't slated as badly as Ready 2 Rumble's, but they're clearly not ready for prime time.
Could it be that rather than just translate the game these issues will be addressed prior to a European release? I would be shocked, but it would be nice to think so. Otherwise Punch Out! looks like the best boxing option on the Wii and the only one to realise the limitations on the motion controls and use them effectively. |

The 'technical issue' is an incorrect BBFC rating being printed btw, so all the copies were recalled. :P
