I saw some gameplay videos of this and thought it looked rather poor myself. I enjoyed the original on the 360 despite its last gen origins as the machine was relatively new at the time but will be giving this unnecessary (IMO) sequel a miss.

The strategy elements make this game a bit more interesting to me than if it was just another action-adventure. How deep and fun the strategy elements are I'll wait for the reviews, but this mode does sound like fun.

@Darren

Gamepro gave this a 5/5.

Im not getting it myself because i have more than enough games to complete at the moment.

"Whenever we do extra content, that content exists with its own budgets, its own profit and loss analysis with its own forecasts. If it didn't, that extra content wouldn't have been put into production, because it did not fit within the production budget of the base product." the developers thankfully didn't say.

Strange to see EA of all companies offering worthwhile free DLC.

Still think i'm going to get Mafia 2 over this. Maybe when it goes cheap or if it gets amazing reviews/ good demo.

Like what?

Not flaming - just curious... I'm still doing KZ2 online, but singleplayer I'm a bit stuck for games recently :(

If I get psyched about a game I actually end up taking 1-2 days off on release date just to play it to death :)

This isn't free DLC. It's a patch. EA are sweetening the fact that they're releasing a patch on the day of release that probably contains a hundred bug fixes that they didn't fix in time, by giving you something that it's quite possible also didn't make it into the full game for the same reason.
If it was DLC, it would be called DLC. It's not, it's a patch. For those who aren't online with their 360s, they will just have a buggy game.
