Dofus reaches 10 million players
Flash-based cartoon MMO a charmer.
Ankama Games has said more than 10 million people are playing attractive Flash MMO Dofus.
Mind you, only 1.5 million are paying subscribers. But at GBP 3.90 a month that still turns a tidy profit.
We're not surprised at its popularity; not after Dofus charmed an 8/10 out of us for its heady concoction of cartoon visuals, strategical combat, vegetarian shoes and flower necklaces.
But Ankama seems be trying to shake this welcoming image, by recently unveiling a special Heroic server with eye-opening rules like permanent death.
Dofus is also to get an MMO sequel in Wakfu, which is currently in beta testing.
Head over to our Dofus review to find out much more.
