DMC4 demo date rumblings News

Xbox 360 PlayStation 3 News by Robert Purchese

17 January, 2008

Devil May Cry 4 demos could be out as soon as the end of the month.

So say two US teaser sites for the game, both promoting 31st January PSN and Live sampler dates.

Specifically the date is shown on a widget (application) you can add to your site to stream news about the title. Not to be confused with the magical 1990s invention beer-makers put in cans to make your drink pub-fresh.

Unfortunately Capcom Europe was unable to confirm any of this, but tricksily hinted that a European demo might not be too far away if it turned out to be true.

Devil May Cry 4 is due for release on PC, 360 and PS3 on 8th February.

We are very excited and have lots for you to look at on our Devil May Cry 4 gamepage.

But those are most likely US dates only... And we all know how prompt they are with releasing new stuff on the Euro PSN... :(

Zanuah, why not create yourself a US account? It takes about 3 minutes, and then u can get things like the Toy Home demo, PAIN et al....dead easy.

This is one of the several games that I would buy a PS3 for despite the fact that I only just got a Xbox 360 last October/November time simply because the PS3 pad is made for this game; I can't see me doing the harder and more quick-reflex attacks with the Xbox 360 pad especially after playing DMC3 – with the PS2 pad - for nearly 60 hours.

But play.com have a habit of completely guessing release dates, and then 90% of the time getting them wrong. Don't rely on play.com for anything, unless you plan on being disappointed.

I've been holding off on getting Gold as I knew this was coming. This is where the new demos only for Gold in the first week policy pays off, as I'm going to pay £40 for just the demo - although the side-effect of a years TF2 and Rainbow Six is welcome :)

But like I've said, if DMC4 was guarenteed to give you bird flu and kill and family member, I'd still buy it.
