DLC for BioShock 2, Just Cause 2 dated

Plus: Shrek! XBLA titles! Game Room stuff!

Microsoft's Major Nelson has revealed some of the treats coming to Xbox Live in the next few weeks.

Highlights include new downloadable content pack for BioShock 2, Rapture Metro, which costs 800 Points (£6.80 / €9.60). For that you get six new multiplayer maps, three character masks, three Achievements and a melee deathmatch mode. The pack is out on 29th April.

The same day will see the release of Just Cause 2 add-on Black Market Aerial Pack for 160 Points (£1.36 / €1.92). That gets you the F-33 DragonFly Jet Fighter, which comes complete with mini-guns and missile launchers, and Dual Parachute Thrusters to keep you in the air longer. Plus the pack includes a Multi-Lock Missile Launcher for firing on up to four enemies at a time.

A few add-ons for Mega Man 10 are on 28th April. Endless Attack mode, Special Stage 2 and Special Stage 3 will cost you 80 Points each (£0.68 / €0.96).

Fans of poor quality movie tie-ins may like to know that Shrek the Third will be added to the Games on Demand library come 27th April. Tecmo Bowl will hit XBLA on the 29th, priced at 800 Points (£6.80 / €9.60).

A host of new titles will be added to the Game Room on the 28th, including Super Breakout, Pitfall! Megamania, Night Stalker and Rack 'Em Up, plus Realsports Volleyball and Basketball.

You can also expect a couple of new avatar collections - one with a Saints Row 2 theme, due out tomorrow, and one from Diesel, coming a week later.

So Bioshock 2, a game with a good single player but an awful multiplayer gets a 2nd multiplayer dlc? That can't be selling well.

    @ captainquint
    amen

I love playing conquest but that's only 6 maps, one of which the atacama map which would be good if it weren't for the deployments being overrun by the hellicopter enthusiasts.

DLC for Just Cause 2 (already loving the free pimped out ice-cream van, and cheap monster truck!), Saints Row 2 clothes, and Super Breakout for Game Room should do me fine!

Just Cause DLC keeps getting better and better! I loved the Monster Truck now they're releasing a Parachute Thruster - awesome!

Would like the 'Harrier' in JC 2 to be able to hover. But looking forward to the DLC.

Finally more Game Room titles - took them long enough. As for Bioshock 2 maps - that's pretty awesome as I was getting quite tired of the current selection of maps. Just Cause 2 DLC is meh in my opinion, I couldn't get into the game for the fact that it's non-stop exploration and not enough mission action. I mean sure, give a bit of padding in between missions to stretch the hours of gametime someone can get out of it; but what they've done is way beyond "padding".

W00T for Pitfall and Super Breakout.

    All crap.

I actually quite liked the BS2 mp, until it froze one too many times for my tastes. I def. not buying extra shit for stuff that's broken to begin with.

"Shrek the Third will be added to Games on Demand..."

I think "Games On Demand" has just invalidated its own name.

Any idea what's in the Just Cause 2 DLC?

Also they seem to be moving XBLA release days to Thursdays if that Tecmo Bowl release is right?
  • metalangel #11 2 years ago

Isn't it like 18 months late for Saint's Row 2 stuff?
  • Monkey_Puncher #12 2 years ago

It's never too late to dress up as a hotdog man!
  • Eraysor #13 2 years ago

The Bioshock 2 DLC is probably already on the disc anyway! I've finished the single-player mode but both times I've tried to play multiplayer I couldn't find a single match, so I gave up.

    Night Hunter is a classic.

Also amen on the BFBC2 maps.
  • GamesConnoisseur #15 2 years ago

Probably just cos I m feeling my age more these days!
  • glaeken #16 2 years ago

@Monkey_Puncher I find reading the article helps with such questions.
  • homerramone #17 2 years ago

800 points for Bioshock 2 MP DLC, which amounts to new maps that you can only play with other saps who paid for it, which is going to be a very small amount of players seeing as the servers are already close to empty. Great deal!
