Activision has told Eurogamer that DJ Hero, which costs over 100 of the Queen's pounds, actually represents "tremendous value".
"We don't comment on our product pricing strategies," said the publisher, ominously. "However, we believe that DJ Hero will provide tremendous value for our consumers by delivering an all-new interactive music experience with over 100 individual songs that are highlighted in over 80 unique mixes, a wide variety of music from some of the biggest artists including Jay-Z, Eminem, Benny Benassi, Gwen Stefani and Black Eyed Peas among others."
Retailers outed the suggested GBP 107.99 retail price for DJ Hero earlier this week. It's a steep game-plus-instrument mark-up for the Hero series, which has traditionally asked for around GBP 70 for each Guitar Hero game and peripheral.
ShopTo claims DJ Hero will be released on 13th November for PS3, Wii and Xbox 360. The date, we're told, also comes from Activision.

You could buy an actual pair of real proper DJ decks for less than that and do it for real (and with better music). Or buy professional DJ mixing software and do it with mp3s for less than half that. Just fuck off Activision, and take your obviously shit, over priced shit with you.

Evidently their definintion of tremendous is very differnt to my own.

True, you can probably get something like Traktor or Ableton for the cash, or splash out on a nice controller etc. Thing about DJ Hero is that its not an authentic mixing simulator, its a rhythm game for fun purposes. The same as Guitar Hero isn’t some sort of viable alternative to playing a real guitar.

not much, but i like all spectrums of dance.
ambient, trance, techno, house, minimal. used to be into hard house. generally hate rock, but outside of dance i respect, and enjoy the beatles and the led. also some rage against the machine as well. EDM is just better, blissfull, intricate, mesmerizing. love the patterns. trance is called that because it does get you in that state - its very close the the african bongo music where they'd smack out some mad pattern and they'd all get 'high'. which reminds my i like tribal dance as well.

Unfortunately, if we have even heard of a band, there has probably been a bit of that taking place. If the band itself is genuine and makes good market, I kind of don't much mind how they are marketed. I would rather than heard of them than not. |

and my username refers to a good slice of music, sander van doorn - grasshopper. its an aquired taste type of tune. wouldnt expect many people here to like it.

1210s ;) but the price of vinyl is extortionate, it's kind of made me sideline that hobby for now. I live just outside of Glasgow, so 23rd precinct and that place down jamaica street (rubadub records?) are the only two places to go.
