DJ Hero date set for Europe
Loaded for late October.
Activision has told Eurogamer that DJ Hero will be released on 30th October in the UK. That's the PS2, PS3, Wii and Xbox 360 versions, a spokesperson explained.
DJ Hero, which comes with a turntable peripheral, costs a pricey £109.99.
Whether that will be too high to spark another Guitar Hero-like success for the publisher remains to be seen. Nevertheless, Activision is throwing everything behind DJ Hero, signing big-name DJs to remix original tracks for the game and throwing lavish parties starring Jay-Z and friends.
Ch-ch-check out our recent hands-on impressions of DJ Hero for a fuller picture.

Isn't it heart-warming to know where your £100+ is going?

For the record, it's £90 or less at Amazon and ShopTo as well.

While that sounds a great idea, the price they would charge for something with a motor in it would put the current pricing to shame never mind the reliablity of the thing given that the guitars are fairly simple and even they failed from time to time.
At the same time going the mass market route is the only route they could have taken, anything else would have made it even more of a harder sell given that allot of reports complain that its already to complicated (I don't see it myself but then I have not got my hands on it yet)

\ waits for Scratch, at least that deck looks worth the loot and the game allows for some 'creativity':

Fair enough, I just get suspicious that people are trying to hide referall links, particularly when they're linking to a specific merchant.

it takes less than an hour to learn your first song on a guitar. "it takes ages" applies for some high-end shredding, but if you enjoy rock music and just wanna learn to play some riffs, 2 weeks go a long way.

The usual argument is that this is a game and has very little to do with real DJing, so there's no point comparing the two.
