A far better game than the Tron arcade game out the other week, but still fairly limited.

You forgot to mention the other new game. Commanders Attack of the Genos: 800 points.

I loved this game. I loved the enclosed unit, it was so cool - it had a shelf for you to sit on and enclosed you in this neon space. And I could play this game for ages, I was really good at it.

I bet I'll download it, play it for 5 minutes and think it's drivel. I might as well sit on my rose-tint speccies now.

the arcade cab for DOT was cool like being in a neon photo booth...this used to be a good game control system might be tricky tho.

I once spent about 4 hours an d £10 playing this in an arcade cabinet. I ought to be given this as a free download !
Great game. Then.
Still, it's worth a pint, or a sandwich. It's got to be better than the money spent on Sensi (and the hours of growling, swearing, and generally being annoyed by the fact you cannot tell if your own player has the ball until the screen starts scrolling the other way, by which time you're only relying on your goalkeeper to stop the opposition from scoring. Honestly, playing Sensi is like being a Spurs supporter in November)

I gladly pay 400 for it if the achievements make it fun and arent too time consuming. In games like this you should be able to rack up the 200 points if youre good at the game. In the other Tron that was impossible.

The original arcade game used a special paddle controller to control the left-right targeting of the discs. You also could move the paddle control up or down to target higher or lower. I hope they've got a good control substitute for that, as otherwise it's going to be very hard, and it was never an easy game.

It is one of my favourites from that era though. The cabinet was amazing, enclosed stand-up with stereo speakers right behind you (with stereo effects used very effectively). The display was reflected on glass, in front of 3D artwork which gave it a holographic feel. The digitized speech was good too. I think a large part of the game's appeal is based on the cabinet and the environment it gave you to play the game, so here's hoping the translation does the game justice.

I think devs aren't getting the Achivements on LA games right. I mean, they can be hard, but why make them so time consuming. LA games should be to be played for a short while, then keep it for historical reasons, and be done with it.
