Waiting for this almost pains me physically.

But why does the piece of armour in the screenie with the inventory not look like what he's actually wearing?

All looking very good indeed. I can almost hear my future self cry out in anguish because of the amount of time i'll spend playing this.

I just hope its released sooner rather than later, given the level of polish i've seen in every released snippet about the game :)

i. can't. wait.

let's hope they give us a release date at blizzcon this year. even though they probably give us a starcraft 2 release date (no complaints there) and D3 will hit somewhere around 2012

I would shoot myself in the hand to get this in 2009, but the fact most people think 2010 is unlikely makes me sadface.

I don't mind waiting for this to come out - the longer it takes, the greater the chance that I'll win the lottery and be able to give up my job so that I can dedicate the appropriate amount of time to D3...

I just bought a brand new gaming PC, but somehow I have a feeling I'll be going through two or three more before this game is released :p.
Well, perhaps I should try giving optimism a shot instead and hope for a 2010 release.

... Doesn't appear to be working - I still got an annoying little voice in the back of my head repeating "2012, 2012, 2012!" :)

......I thought of a few witty remarks but, let's be honest, what's the point in wasting them on a blizzard news story. It's not like anything Blizzard announces actually sees the light of day before it looks dated. I expect some other company will have plenty of time to go out and create a D3 killer long before tha actual D3 comes out.

@penhalion
but it wont happen, that's like saying before Radiohead release another album there'll be loads of other bands releasing albums.

Yeah, like all the D2 and WoW killers.

Yeah, because WoW is older than Diablo 2, which didn't have exactly these talent trees at all. :p

WoW is strongly related to Diablo/Diablo 2.

The new of make a different bag related with the size of the items is a good back step from the initial decision of 1 item = 1 slot. It reveals that the pressure of the players is taking effect. I still see Daiblo III as a downgrade of Lord Of Destruction, very oriented to be played by console fans with a pad -noattribute points to spent, lack of potions, only 5 players support, etc...

These are very solid aspects to support my criticism towards the game. Diablo II LOD is my most played game of all time, and I'm genuinely worried about some departments of the deploy process of the game. Look the new screens. Lord Of Destruction icons to the weapons and gear were high quality rendered CGs, now are replaced by low-quality small-size pictures as in games like Warcraft III, Guild Wars or Hellgate.

I think the interface looks pretty sweet! Further the Barbarian talents or skills are great and I can't wait to find out how they will be affected by the runesystem.
