Yes, Diablo is great, and I'm looking forward to it. But:

Is it just me, or are those some unbelivably boring screenshots?

Well they made me smile so I'd say they did the job.

Ahhhh Diablo my old trusted friend, welcome back. PC gaming ftl? I think not.

Shame the Wii online service is still a bit limited, as the system would have no trouble with this game at all.
I think Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance on PS2 looked better?

Edit: as usual the Blizzard cinematics make up for it :)

Brilliant. I think it looks fantastic. Beautiful backgrounds. Can't wait to play Diablo at a sensible resolution after suffering D2 at 800x600 for years. Keep your Lich King, this and Starcraft 2 will keep me and my pc happy :)

Looks underwhelming to me, but PC-fans must like it for a reason.

This would have excited me if it was 2002, but things have changed, I'm over click-fests and collection of arbitrary loot. It will be a great time-waster, no doubt, but I'm looking for more than that nowadays.

I'm glad I hate fantasy games and RPGs, since there seems to be some unwritten law that all fantasy RPGs have to look complete shit.

It's because emphasis is put on other aspects than graphics. Aspects such as storyline, character development... you know. The things you don't get in shooters.

I'm inclined to think character development should come through the evolvement of personality and emotion and not through an exp number going up every few hours...

And what storyline?

You seem to be fascianted enough by the genre, what with checking the screenshots section daily.

You obviously also completely missed the point what he meant with "character development".

I love the art style that Blizzard have come up with - but if there are enough people who don't, perhaps the disgruntled masses could just create a mod that would refresh the game with the look that they prefer?

This is a PC title, after all!
