"As the main tanking class, the Barbarian..."

Sorry if i'm just being an a-hole but is it really a tank class, or a melee dps class like in D1/D2?

I wish I could get excited about this game but, I just know that it simply will not see the light of day for years to come. Look at starcraft 2. How many blizcons have they dragged that out at and dangled it in the faces of their fans.

If the recession hasn't claimed all my money by the time this appears I may get it. Then again I may well have gotten the witcher 2 by then or gothic 4/5 whatever.

Err... the paladin is the tank/support class. Also the best class ever.

magic hammers ftw, except in maggot lair which is a bit p00.

Everything between now and Diablo III seems like a stopgap. I want this badly, more than any other game.

I pity the fools who can't get into Diablo. It really is the Zen of gaming. :)

No Bertie, that's the point! The Diablo paladin ROCKS. Nothing has come close since (though the WAR Chosen is rather nice too I've found).

And yeah UncleLou, that's exactly how I feel atm.

I'm definitely gonna need a gaming PC again - unless they magically decide to announce console versions with the same release date as the PC version, and I guess that really would require some sort of magic event :).
But as Drogul said, if Blizzard sticks to their usual ways, this is probably a 2010 release. Or 2013 :p. So I probably don't need to hurry with that PC.

Actually the whole killing-enemies-when-you-level-up thing is not "something only Blizzard could think of", it appeared in the rather excellent action RPG Nox from, er, eight years ago...

Nox was a slightl cheeky attempt to cash in on the Diablo 2 anticipation at the time. Nothing wrong with that, and it wasn't a bad game, but they haven't really "thought of" anything.

This is going to be the worst game ever, in the history of games. Blizzard are going to utterly screw it up and they won't even be able to pay people to play, it'll be that bad.

Well, I have to at least try to convince myself that I'm not going to slowly transform into some sort of pallid ghoul once this comes out, right?

Xerx3s: Hmm, Lammerdins are disgrace of paladins (and D2) since 1.10. I wonder whether Blizzard made BH so imbalanced to allow easy Baal-botting or if there was some other underlaying reason. Hopefully there won't be similar fiasco in D III.

Anyway, hands-on impressions seems to be promising. Hopefully there will be various customization options allowed (concerning hot keys and so) - especially with regard to current hardware (programmable keyboards and mice).

I'll more than likely get this. I'll complain at its simple nature, its frustratingly repititive everything, how little its moved on since D2... then 8months later stop playing it, for a bit.

The only thing that could prevent this would be Flayers. Again.
