Devil May Cry 4 demos this week News

Xbox 360 News by Robert Purchese

23 January, 2008

Capcom has plans to release PS3 and Xbox 360 demos of Devil May Cry 4 this week.

Thursday, if you're asking, and each will let you sample select cuts from different portions of the game.

That means steering Nero around and getting to grips with his fancy powers, like slamming enemies into the ground, jumping very far and revving up his sword. Do that and you will stand a chance against boss Berial at the end.

This fourth game is the first on the new generation of consoles, so Capcom is eager to throw around things like 60 frames per second at 720p. Looks very shiny, too.

Devil May Cry 4 is due out for 360 and PS3 on 8th February. A PC version is due to follow.

Pop over to our Devil May Cry 4 gamepage for plenty of impressions, trailers and screenshots.

Awesome news, looking forward to this, even though I've only ever played a smidgen of DMC3: Special Edition.

First I have to decide which version to download, and then I have to find time to play the originals. Cool.

Looking forward to this - was a bit worried though when watching the Gamer.tv review at the weekend, only managed to scrape a 6/10 from them.

@cyacomini

Also looking forward to this even though I only "quite liked" the first one and thought the other two were fairly poor.

Not sure about the Gamer.tv review, they said they really liked it, then gave it 6 out of 10!

XBW Australia gave it 9/10 but not sure if they are anything to go by.

Wait for the EG review and the truth will become clear. Quite fancy this, not depends on what the demos like.

+1

Also the PS3 load times are said to be practically non-existent due to hd install (full game obviously!)

I guess that comes down to what you are used to - for example, playing DMC4 with a PS pad is unthinkable for me.

Playing DMC without rumble for me is unthinkable, even though we all know rumble is so last-gen...

But then those of us that have been playing the series from the start are only going to be used to dual shock controls.

X360 pad is in a whole a bit better than Dual Shock 3 apart from the D pad where Dual Shock 3 still reigns supreme. Mainly cos the triggers and sticks are not as good on Dual Shock 3 in my view, and they are pretty important to my gaming pleasure.

With most racing and FPS games X360 pad is simply the winner. That not taking into account the performance of the game on the respective platform. Most time there are just a slight difference mainly in visual stake as repeated in the X360 vs PS3 head to head thread (discounting achievement points and other online features).

I m no fanboy and not decided yet which version to go for as waiting on reviews, but if both pretty much equal then go for X360 just to get achievement points to catch up to that crazy Miiguel!
