Dead to Rights to return this year News

PlayStation 3 Xbox 360 News by Oli Welsh

9 February, 2009

Here's one franchise revival we didn't expect to see in a recession year - Namco Bandai is making a new Dead to Rights game for a release in the fourth quarter of 2009.

According to a preview in the US official PlayStation mag - seen by 1UP - the latest in the profoundly mediocre action series about one maverick cop and his dog is in development for PS3. A 360 version seems like a safe bet, too.

The developer is the UK's Volatile Games, a division of Blitz, which made the so-so Reservoir Dogs back in 2006. Called simply Dead to Rights, the new game will not be a sequel but a "new beginning" in the adventures of Jack Slate and Shadow the dog.

It's still a third-person shooter, only with more hand-to-hand combat. In what amounts to an interesting development as far as this particular news story goes, Shadow will be a stray instead of a trained police dog, but still a useful ally in a scrap.

1up reports a "sort of Jason Bourne-style" look to the game. More when we have it.

The game will likely be severely mediocre. Again. But some creative marketing should do the trick. 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand meets Fable II meets Fallout 3 in this explosive new installment of Namco Bandai's treasured series, anyone?

What a poor, poor game. So average, but bizzarely fun in an arcade sort of way.

Blitz have got a fairly good game engine these days, but dead to rights was always a bad idea, badely executed, so i doubt this will be any different.

New game, I want to download that one. Im sure John Stossel would love to play that game too. John Stossel is going to be calling it quits at ABC News, and is heading for far more psychotic and deranged lunatic pastures. He is leaving his job at a serious news network to go to Fox News, as others have done, noticeably in the case of Geraldo Rivera. Stossel had done many specials on consumer reports and warnings of defective products, and insider coverage of government agencies and their shortcomings. Stossel is touted as one of the few reporters with a strong libertarian leaning, which can alienate both liberals and conservatives alike. He is certainly one of the more controversial reporters in mainstream news – but it's doubtful the move is because his ABC salary left him needing payday loans.Pls. click this http://personalmoneystore.com/Payday-Loa... for more details.
