EA blabs. DLC already in the works, too.

Oh boy DLC planned for a game that's not even finished. Maybe EA will let us buy our way to the end of the game without actually playing! That seems right in line with what they offer for Pro Street.

How about they concentrate on finishing the first game before talking up DLC and sequels, eh?

I'm sorry but if they're making DLC already, it's simply going to be paying for stuff already included on the disc.

And they're going to struggle to make a game scarier than Eternal Darkness.

Sounds neat, but knowing EA they'll nickel and dime us to death by making us pay for stuff already on the disc, or release content separately that was already done when the game got released.

'That said, nobody at the BBC seems to have noticed that Russell T Davies can't write SF for shit either... meh.'

Hurrah, i'm not the only person to notice this. I've never really noticed bad writing until the new Dr Who, my god it is cringworthy!

So they are gong to hold back content on the disc and then charge people extra to put it back in?
Sounds really scary to me!!!!

I hope this is co-op.

I'd like to be scared the crap out of with a friend by my side. So scared we have to cuddle. :(

Hehe, remember that Simpson episode when Homer and Wiggum do that?

Several times I've got really excited about this game... Bioshokish gameplay... set in space... it has a lot going for it. And then I read EA and get depressed.

Right now we are creating our vision which is to be the scariest videogame ever

Yeah - and to achieve that effect you should definitely resort to cheap tricks as seen in the teaser. Slimy things popping up suddenly, lots of flashlight usage (wow - it really seems we won't come up with better devices in the future) spiced up with "scary" sounds - of course the flashlight has to have the smallest cone possible, so that the player can be even MORE scared when something appears in his field of vision...
Don't forget the whole "sole survivor on a big ship taken over by aliens" crap... We've seen it all before... System Shock 2 anyone?

Is nobody able to make GOOD horrors anymore? The same can be said for the film industry... Really, there ARE good ways to scare people other than this formulaic bullshit. Sadly some of the scarier movies are now labeled "only" as thrillers because anything that doesn't follow the B-film pattern is quickly re-categorized. Take Alien - the creature appeared for like, I don't know, a couple of minutes in the whole film? It was all about the atmosphere.

I am growing so frikken sick and tired of all this FPS nonsense. Djesus christ, gimme back the sprites of yore. gimme new things to wonder about. gimme more patapon, ico, shadow, okami. gimme overboard or 1942. bleeeeeeehhhhh. I clicked this thinking this would be a space sim. :/

where the hell on earth is all this crap coming from? and please make it for 360 only. ps3 can live without the same fps overdose.

@ MeBrains - chill dude, it's not even a FPS -- third person.

I expect this will turn out much like Cold Fear: decent enough but lots of very cheap shocks (although I'm not dening that they work!) and pales in comparison compared to the likes of Resi 4, Silent Hill, Project Zero.
