Dates announced for SOE Fan Faire
Sixth Sony event heads to Vegas in August.
Sony Online Entertainment has announced the date and location for the sixth of its annual Fan Faire conventions.
Fan Faire 2008 will take place at the Las Vegas Hilton over four days, from August 14th to 17th.
Tickets go on sale later this spring, but the hotel can be booked now at a discount rate. Check the official announcement for details.
Attendees can expect the usual range of events based on SOE's stable of MMO games: in-game tournaments, a costume contest, social stuff, game previews, forums and roundtables with developers, and an address from company president John Smedly. Plus some "live questing", which we simply have to see.
The game line-up lists the EverQuest games, PlanetSide, Star Wars Galaxies, Vanguard, The Matrix Online, and the forthcoming PC/PS3 spy MMO The Agency.
We wouldn't be surprised to see some major news on the very intriguing Agency emerge from the convention, so keep an eye out for that, and whet your appetite with our recent interview.
