Datel doing Wii FreeLoader

Trying to, anyway.

Datel has indicated that it's working on a Nintendo Wii version of its famous "FreeLoader" tool for playing import games.

As part of a post on its Codejunkies website celebrating the fact that FreeLoader and Action Replay allow you to play import GameCube games on a Wii, just as they did on the previous Nintendo hardware, the team can't help but drop hints.

"All we can say at present is watch this space - we're working on it, and if it's possible, you'll be the first to know," the update notes.

If it does work, it'll overcome one of the few genuinely annoying things about the Wii in its present state (well, unless you count the way the Wiimote smashes things if you beat them up with it, obviously).
