Darwinia coming to Xbox Live Arcade News

Xbox 360 News by Ellie Gibson

26 March, 2008

Introversion has confirmed rumours that PC hit Darwinia is on the way to Xbox Live Arcade.

It'll come bundled with an XBLA version of the forthcoming sequel, Multiwinia: Survival of the Flattest. The titles will be released as a bundle under the name Darwinia+ and will be available this autumn.

"When we first started Introversion back in 2001, the idea of developing our games for a console seemed an impossible challenge," said Introversion's Chris Delay.

"Whilst we have built a fantastic community around our PC games, and will continue to support that, it has always been our dream to take the next step and produce a console title."

Introversion has pledged to reveal more about Multiwinia and the new bundle in the coming months. In the meantime, why not read about why Kieron liked the PC version of Darwinia so much.

Agreed, pretty much great news. Shame they don't care about the PS3 but no biggie.

Great, I've always wanted to play this. Maybe they'll even release DEFCON if it sells well.

Very good news! Didn't give the PC version much of my time so will hopefully give this the time it so obviously deserves.

Oh, and +1 to a DEFCON XBLA release

Wicked news, N+ now this. Now all I need is an XBLA version of LazerSquadNemesis with "play by Personal message" mode and the Teardown Spacehulk remake (with THQ dodging changes) and I'll be set for months.

Fuck yeah! More of this!

Can we have Defcon as well? Although I dont know how well that will work using the controller.

dunno how they will do the controls on a joypad considering you had to draw shapes i suppose that part will be cut out and button presses used instead.

mingster: Drawing of shapes worked quite well in Okami on the PS2.
