Dark Messiah expansion on way?

Ubidays brochure flaunts logo.

The brochure for Ubisoft's Ubidays event - happening right now in Paris - is flaunting a logo for Dark Messiah of Might & Magic Elements.

Having just sat through the initial conference, Tom tells us no mention was made of the game, although he expects it will be one of the titles being demonstrated tomorrow, during the second of Ubidays', um, days.

We expect it's either an expansion or a console port of the PC game.

Dark Messiah of Might & Magic was released last year to critical acclaim. It's a first-person action game that uses Valve's Source engine to create innovative ways to dispatch your enemies. Head over to our review for more information.

Dark Messiah had a great fighting system, just wish the RPG elements were stronger and it had a larger variety of spells. "Elements" could indicate this to expand on that very thing. The story needs improving aswell, it was so predictable.

Please make this an expansion, Dark Messiah faded into the background far quicker than it deserved to and that would then at least make many who missed out on it understand just what as a fantastic little game it was. Just as long as they stay well away from the dodgy multiplayer that is :/

I really should finish it. I was really enjoying it but then drifted away

This game had a really good melee-based combat system, but the RPG elements were far too restricted.

Enjoyable, but flawed. I'd buy an expansion, though.

Yay, hope it's an expansion. Really enjoyed DM, though I agree with others that the story was as transparent as a very transparent thing. The RPG elements were indeed too barebones as well. Still, it looked pretty and the combat was good fun.

I thought the multiplayer was the best part!
Fighting in the singleplayer was good, but the spells were lame, and the plot was incredibly clichéd.

please be an expansion. One of the most enjoyable FPS's I've played in a long while. I think it faded into the background cause the MP sucked. They should focus on 2 player co-op or something. That would be sweet!

I really enjoyed it, right up until the stupid spiders. Why do developers insist on putting hard to kill, irritating, small creatures in their games? Why goddamnit?!

Same here, the temple was shite so that's where I stopped as I couldn't be arsed any more.

    I must play this.

I think I like the sound of it even more since it's RPG-lite. Sounds far more like a medieval FPS or something.
