James Bond says that he didn't want to be in Activision's new James Bond game because he instinctively thought it was going to be pants.
"When I started signing contracts for Bond I said, 'I'm not doing the computer game' and they said, 'Tough, you are'," super secret agent Bond - real name Daniel Craig - said in a recent interview. "I said to the people making the Bond game, 'You've got to make this good because there is so much rubbish out there.'"
Craig/Bond also admits to sneaking the odd game of Halo when his "girlfriend" is away for the weekend. "I have to pick my time well," he explained. He thinks Halo is "good because it's shooting aliens", although he's not a fan of "those ultra-violent ones" like Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.
Activision is currently working on a James Bond videogame having announced over a year ago that it had secured the rights until 2014. Tellingly, the publisher seems to be in no rush, preferring to invest time that the Bond games' previous M sometimes struggled to find.
The next James Bond film is due out next November.
