Crysis beta opens up
Keys on offer to all.

EA has opened up the Crysis beta test, offering keys to all who can get them in time.
Simply head over to FilePlanet and claim your spot, then leave your lasting mark on the hugely anticipated PC shooter from Crytek for ever more.
Silver lining to the delayed demo-cloud from last week, then, which was blown out of September to 26th October.
Still, not long to wait until the full game is here, which carries a current release date of 16th November.

i am playing it on a x2 4400, 2gb ram and 8800gts 640mb, some sttings on high and some on medium at a resolution of 1650x1050 and it plays ok. bit slow in places.
however the actual game mechanics are cool...and it does look great

You're not alone there, all the gameplay videos I've seen look fairly dull and uninspired, graphically incredible, but I couldn't care less about that if the gameplay is dull.

More like a bloody alpha, ridiculous scenes. All I get is white or black outlined shadows and it reckons it likes my specs, sets it all to medium after a scan etc.
Nice menus though...ahem... ;o)
