4pm: Creative Assembly live interview
Quiz the Empire: Total War dev today.
Empire: Total War goes on sale tomorrow, 4th March, and for those of you who are still undecided, Creative Assembly's Kieran Brigden will be joining us for a live interview at 4pm GMT today to address your questions.
By now you probably know what's included in the box: massive campaigns, each as long as a regular RTS game; battle-map multiplayer and skirmish; naval battles; trade zones... As we put it last week in our 9/10 review, "Total War is scary big".
It's also scary good. "In some ways, it's the closest we've come to the enormous social novel from the period after that which Empire chronicles," Kieron Gillen wrote; "it's a Tolstoy-esque War and Peace of a game."
And if you want to ask Creative Assembly anything about it - like when that campaign multiplayer patch is coming out - just visit the homepage around 4pm GMT and click on what will be a very obvious pointer to the live interview.
As long as you have signed up for a free Eurogamer login, you will be able to contribute questions. Make 'em fierce.

That will be my own concern.

Download anywhere, anytime, no disc needed: awesome. I can easily do without playing it a day before the official release day for these benefits.

But as far as recent copy protection schemes go, I'll take Steam over anything else anyday.
If there's one thing I can't stand about Steam, it's the region-locking it allows. Under the pretense of respecting German law (which is nonsense, because every adult in Germany is allowed to play "banned" games), they actually violate EU laws.

Any possibility of having a World Wars: Total War game? It could start at the beginning of the 20th century and run till the beginning of the Cold War. Main challenge would be on how to factor air fights but I am sure with your expertise you would find a way (or may be they should be resolved in the same fashion as naval battles were in MTW2).
2nd question
I have found the strategic component of your previous games lacking a bit compared to the likes of Paradox’s Europa Universalis and Hearts of Iron. Wouldn’t it be possible to combine both companies expertise and create the most complex strategic and tactical game of all times?
3rd question
How about a futuristic Total War game? You could use of the features used in Supreme Commander for the tactical battles (like huge maps and large transporters) plus a turn-based Master of Orion strategic map?
4th question
And finally how about revisiting the Shogun era?

My question is;
I heard word of downloadable content. What can we expect? New units and/or added landmass? Maybe even new factions? And of course...I wouldn't be dutch if I didn't ask, will it be free?

I haven't played Halo Wars but doesn't seem as good as PC RTS - it is a start though.
Thanks for the tip about Stormrise though

Now I thought the game was going to be about gaining prestige but it seems that some nations are still intent on being the Milan of Med2. Are you going to be able to prevent this from happening? Or is it randomised?
Thank you

2. Will the cities that pop-up in the game make their own regions or are they just gonna be there?
3. Is their gonna be more then just one Finnish special unit (the Hakkapeliitta) or is it gonna be more.
4. Why didn´t you include prisoners. It would be awesome if you could like be trading about the prisoners when you gonna end a war or something like that, but you wouldn´t be able to kill the prisoners obviously.
