Really, it looks a bit like RA2 in the Generals engine, which I guess is OK.

Cool!

would have been cool if they kept the cartoony vibe of RA2. if they had done it in a kind of Street Fighter 4 style that would have looked awesome but this is gonna just be more Generals with different skins on the vehicles.
EA just sucks the character out of games.

Hence the abomination that was Generals. C&C3 was a better return to form, but still wasn't great.

Wow, I really need to start properly reading games news again. I've spent 100s of hours on C&C Red Alert and especially Red Alert 2, so seeing those Tesla coils and Soviet blimps brings a tear to my eye! Can't wait for these games!

and they are the only people who can pull off a RA3. Meaning C&C3 could turn out to be a fluke :S
I don't know man, something dont feel right, RA2 has by far the most successful RTS games of all time
its going to take alot to ...............

/thinks that people who laugh at C&C Generals and look hopefully to Starcraft 2 should know they have the same lead designer
/realizes that the whole "/" thing is rather annoying, but doesn't change anything

Otherwise... no.
I still need to play C&C3. Bring it to the PS3 already.

A designer is only as good as the brief he gets.
C&C Generals: generic war game devoide of all the personality and fun of the proper C&C franchise. A classic EA mistake.
One they thankfully corrected with Tiberian Wars and hopefully RA3.
StarCraft 2: sequal to one of the most beloved RTS games of all time that does stay faithfull to the concept.

The best FPS I played in a long time was Supreme Commander and in my opinion has yet to be bettered. Company of Heroes came close.

I like strategy to be brutal, dirty and fast.

The ott lighting and overused glow effects kind of kill this for me. It looks like a war in a pristine operating theatre.
