Codemasters fan event in March

Meet your LOTRO guild.

Codemasters Online Gaming has said it will be showing its existing and top secret wares at a public event in March.

Connect 2008 will take place at the flashy new Omega Sektor gaming palace house structure in Birmingham on 14th and 15th March. Good for a guild meet, if you, er, want.

Among those on display will be acclaimed MMORPG Lord of the Rings Online, as well as the struggling Dungeons & Dragons Online, ArchLord and RF Online.

We're also promised revelations of new persistent worlds, as well as lots of freebies and one-off merchandise. No fancy dress? Shame. Better scratch it off calendar.

Tickets will go on sale soon, so keep an eye on the official Connect 2008 site for the green light.

    Oh dear heaven. Codemasters try to do a Blizzcon, this can only end in failure. Whilst LotR:o is said to be a reasonable MMO the line up the rest of them Codemaster's have chosen to foist onto the world are painfully bad. Archlord and RF Online are of Korean origin i.e. grind fests from hell and D&D Online is generally held up to be an example of how not to do MMO's.

    Codemasters, please PLEASE stop. You are NOT Blizzard and the only people who could possibly challenge their might would most likely be Bioware. So I have to ask, why are you even bothering?

    I wasn't aware that codemasters had fans? I thought the stream of poor& buggy games, the lack of patches, the non-existent customer support and blind ignorance had scared pretty much everyone away from them?
