City of Heroes to sell character slots
Coming soon after Issue 12.
NCsoft's superhero MMO, City of Heroes, is to begin selling additional character slots, according to a post on the official forums.
The move comes as a response to an "overwhelming consensus" among players that they wanted to create additional characters. Players were reacting to the announcement of the game's Issue 12 update, titled Midnight Hour.
"With all the great reasons to roll a new character included in Issue 12, we certainly understand the desire," said the game's community relations manager in the post. "Our intent is to add purchasable character slots to round out our existing services of Character Transfer and Character Rename. We hope to have this implemented and available shortly after Issue 12 Launch."
No word on how much these slots will cost yet. You could always go along to the City of Heroes player meet in Birmingham this weekend and ask.
