Chronicles of Spellborn dated
Dutch MMO hot on the Lich King's heels.
Frogster Interactive has announced a European release date for its offbeat European fantasy MMORPG, The Chronicles of Spellborn. The game will be released for PC on 27th November in English, French and German versions.
That puts it firmly in the shadow of World of Warcraft expansion Wrath of the Lich King, which launches two weeks earlier on 13th November - not to mention Warhammer Online, which was released last week.
However, Spellborn has a few things going for it that will distinguish it from the competition. We had a brief go on it at the Leipzig Games Convention, and the highly unusual real-time combat system, reactive enemy AI, and stat-free, cosmetic weapons and armour all stood out.
We'll bring you a more in-depth look at The Chronicles of Spellborn soon. In the meantime, check out the screens and videos on the gamepage.
