Cheap Assault Heroes and Doom on Weds News

Xbox 360 News by Robert Purchese

17 March, 2008

Assault Heroes and Doom will be offered for half-price on Live Arcade this Wednesday.

The two titles will be snipped to 400 Points (GBP 3.40 / EUR 4.80) as part of an Arcade Hits program, which will permanently offer past releases at cut-down price points.

Microsoft also included a list of its upcoming Live Arcade titles. Key among them is Commando 3 from Capcom, but there is also a trivia game called Wits & Wagers from Hidden Path; a puzzler called TiQal from Slapdash Games; a Japanese board-game adaptation Shotest Shogi from Al Factory and Rubicon Development; and a mini-game package Rocky and Bullwinkle from Zen Studios.

It wasn't a dream, then.

Yeah, I want Doom 2 as well. Already have Doom and it's fantastic, controls work really well. Too bad I already have it so I don't really profit from it being cheaper.

Price cuts for games I don't already have please, Microsoft.

Nah, mustn't grumble. Anything being made cheaper is nice to see.

The page is still there.

Wasn't Doom 400 points anyway?

Still haven't got the promised TEN free games though, from the buddy-up-with-a-new-xbox-owner scheme. Anyone else had that? Do they send the codes via email or what?

Does that mean there isn't a new release this Wednesday, just the price drops?

Would also be nice to see a review of DLC pricing for games... perhaps reduce the cost of some addons, now that the games can be had for nearly the same prices if you pick them up second hand?

I signed up for the 10 free XBLA games - got an email about 2 weeks later with 10 redemption codes - fantastic!
