Charts: Mario Kart still leading pack
Full top 40 and rubbish puns inside.
Mario Kart has held onto the top spot in the UK All Formats Chart for a second week running.
Its ghost was chased eagerly by the legs of Mario & Sonic at the Olympics at two, and the shiny tyres of Gran Turismo 5: Prologue at three.
Sporty pair Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 and SEGA Superstars Tennis followed at four and five respectively, with shooters Rainbow Six Vegas 2 and Call of Duty 4 next in line.
Fresh entry UEFA Euro 2008 managed to take eight - probably feeling the sales-glut from England not qualifying for the competition.
Dr. Kawashima climbed back into the charts with Brain Training at nine, while Guitar Hero III and its frustrating final set-list rounded off the pile at 10.
New entries of note were Time Crisis 4 and its PS3 light-gun at 24, plus another forgettable Sims 2 expansion to do with kitchens and bathrooms at 20.
Big movers were Rayman Raving Rabbids up from 32 to 22, while Dark Sector fell from 13 to 26 and Viking: Battle for Asgard tumbled from 16 to 29.
Those fired from the list by the stubby finger of Sir Alan "Charts" Sugar were Bully: Scholarship Edition and MX vs. ATV Untamed.

I wonder what would happen if Take 2 decided to do a GTA at the Olympics, or a WOW at the olympics.
OR maybe Rockstar should just do a GTA in Tibet. Plenty to punch an shoot down there!

I'd guess that's the reason it's so high, too.

"Carnival: Funfair Games" being above both "Condemned 2: Bloodshot" and "Assassin's Creed" makes me laugh - a lot.

Bet me to it. And as this happens pretty much every week, why has the Wii got a bad rep for a low attach rate when it's always doing nicely in the games charts?

You could have Mario Galaxy or Mario Kart (with wheel) for 50 euros or less.
