But crucially, how much is different to CoH and what have they done to avoid it suffering the same fate?

CoH is doing well for a five year old mmo that hardly got any advertisment. I dont think they'd mind CoH's fate.

The fate of 13 (i think) free updates, a full expansion pack/stand alone and another in the pipeline?...

So, is it action combat or each attack is on a different button but still turn based?

Are the quests 'go to a warehouse, kill enemies' or something new and exciting?

As long at the combat is strategic and the missions are deeper than i should be happy.

I am always in the market for another MMO to live alongside WoW. Tried many over the years to varying degrees of success, EVE is currently bewildering me enough to hold my interest (I feel if it exists in EVE then it must make sense, so keep playing and it will all fall into place....and it is sort of).

Very good article. Can't wait to give it a bash.

I almost forgot that AoC was supposed to come out on 360. Not bothered if they do quite frankly.

Champions Online however is something I would like to see on a console.

Having always meant to ( but never did ) play CoH, I'm quite looking forward to this. The fact that's it's based on the old Champions P&P game is an added nerd-lure for me. ;-)

Anyone know what there are any pre-order goodies announced? There's not a sniff of any info at Game or Play.

i really enjoyed both CoH and CoV, so looking forward to this.

this time im going to wait and get the console one though, i think it would be nicer to lay back on the sofa and play a mmo than sitting at the pc.

An improved version of CoH would always be welcome. Let's hope this is one, gameplay vids I've seen so far have been... somewhat lackluster.

I'll wait for the 360 version, in any case, since playing from a couch is always better. Well, except for intra-party communication in text form.

That's the problem I have with it. Everything I've seen just looks like a COH patch or update and I've yet to see the killer feature that's going to get me excited about it.
