Castle Crashers MP patch nearly done News

Xbox 360 News by Robert Purchese

2 December, 2008

Castle Crashers developer The Behemoth has very nearly finished that patch to fix various multiplayer connection problems with the Xbox Live Arcade game.

This, we were told in September, would arrive "as fast as possible". Presumably they forgot to add "compared to a clumsy child".

"We're working with Microsoft to get the title update out as quickly as we can," The Behemoth told Xbox 360 Fanboy. "Sadly, we can't get into details about the certification process, but we've resolved the game's issues with data loss and networking in addition to other bugs.

"We can't really comment on the release yet as we're not allowed to talk about it because of Microsoft, but the update's release is definitely reaching the end of the process."

The Behemoth is thankful for and "honoured" by all the community support, however, and actually thinks you're all "awesome", which is nice.

The Behemoth is the same team behind Alien Hominid, and much of the visual style of that series carries over into Castle Crashers. But the two differ in gameplay; Castle Crashers is hackandslash, with a gentler learning curve, more bits to play with and a generally rounded assortment of goodies.

The result: favourable. Head over to our Castle Crashers review to find out more.

Will give me a chance to get those last two achievements and probably never play it again. Damn achievements ruining games!

Surely this is a case of too little, too late by now. If it had been anywhere close to when I was actually playing this game I might be inclined to revisit it, but not now.

...and I'm sorry I spent so much points on that broken mess of a game. Pricks.

I'd prefer them to delay the patch and release it with the DLC for free as a 'good will gesture' to the customers, but M$ will never allow it...

Seeing all the "it's a little bit too late" comments around the internet is a little bit sadenning, Like the game has no value now its a few months old. God forbid someone isn't playing the latest AAAAAAAAAA game in the week of its release.

@seamonsterneil:

But "hardcore" gamers dont actually PLAY games.. they just talk about the next great thing on forums, and how amazing the graphics look, etc etc.. then when it comes out.. start talking about the NEXT great thing...

God forbid they'd actually PLAY a game for .. you know.. fun!

It's not just that. I've been through the whole game a couple of times now, so I'm kinda done witht the game now. Still it's good news for anyone who hasn't picked it up yet, as it's very good.
