Carmack expects Rage to be on iPad
Although he hasn't got one yet.
id Software's John Carmack has said he expects Rage to appear on iPad.
"Apple doesn't give us anything ahead of time either, so haven't put hands on it ourselves," he said of the iPad in a post-GDC Awards chat with Kotaku.
"But we certainly are expecting to try to have our Rage title for the iPhone, iPad, whatever, working across there."
Carmack, who picked up a Lifetime Achievement Award at GDC (apparently it's his third), said that he still loved disappearing for a while to program for the iPhone.
He told Kotaku that he hoped to budget a couple of months in the year to vanish and code his happy little head off on Apple's phone format.

That, to me, implies it's some sort 'Doom Resurrection' type spin-off game. So if they're doing it for the iPhone anyway, it'll work on the iPad. I guess what he's saying is he'll have a go at upping the render resolution and messing about with iPad-optimised control schemes. Which is all fair enough.
