Capcom fixing Monster Hunter ISP issues

Nintendo of Europe involved too.

Capcom has assured Eurogamer that everything is being done to fix problems some European internet service providers are having with Monster Hunter Tri online.

Customers of Murphx (a wholesale reseller of ADSL24 and XILO) and Etanet have reported seeing error code 11613 after their game refuses to connect to the Monster Hunter Tri servers.

"We're aware of this issue," a Capcom spokesperson told us, "as are Nintendo of Europe's support. We're working to resolve it as soon as we possibly can."

Monster Hunter Tri is based on the concept of co-operative hunting with up to three other people online. The Wii-exclusive game was released earlier this month rapturous applause and a glamorous 9/10 on Eurogamer.

Our Monster Hunter Tri review tells all.

Mh, the only issue I have is the low quality of WiiSpeak ingame - I guess Capcom turned down the bitrate of the audio codec to save bandwidth?

I'm assuming from the detail in this article you got this info from my posts in the MHT thread and on the Capcom Unity forums. Thanks for picking it up and pushing it. Hopefully I (and many others) will be able to playing this online soon :)

This issue has now been resolved. I was contacted by my ISP (XILO) to say that they had spoken with Nintendo/Capcom and that it's now been resolved. While it seems to have been fixed for Murphx connected players, there are still a few people complaining that they still can't get on however it also seems that Nintendo/Capcom are still working on it.
