"I thought it was a shitty version of SF anyway"

Of course you would. It's not a PS3 exclusive.

"Although I did play it on a 360 pad, which destroyed the gameplay."

No, your inability to use the dpad is the problem. I have no problem whatsoever with it on the 360.

It does seem a little late in the day to be releasing this though, although completionists might well want it. If I hadnt already impulse purchased HD remix I'd probably wait for SFIV.

'Nick the gun' "I was going to get it with a US account but the shits have clamped down on using entropay".

Still using Entropay for US PSN, I think the problem with it is for recent subscribers, but ive had an Entropay account for 10 months now and recently got Lumines and Jeanne D'Arc by loading my card and adding the funds to psn like normal. I usually get something off there every month or so.

"Will you all die if you have to wait a week or two? Didnt think so."

That's probably the most sensible thing I've read around here in a long while. Some of you people get so angry over nothing at all.

got the us version back in november using a fake US adress andIrish credt card, so whats the problem? Online is very prone to disconnects though, so it may be better to wait for the EU version if its being fixed

Got it on the 360 but it is unplayable with the standard pad. Really not sure if I can be assed to get a pad just for this game.

SCEE are very differnt to SCEA.

They will keep a game off the shelves if it contains minor things such as error messages that are not word for word what they want. SCEA do not care about this. So I do not believe it to be a localisation issue as there is not much localisation to be done in a SF title, plus its already on the US store. Which again would have gone through SCEA not SCEE.

As do I, and have no problem playing it with the standard pad. I'd suggest a finger upgrade.

So many people posting total mistruth and FUD.
On PSN SF does not play peer to peer and is not prone to 'Hosting Issues' it uses dedicated servers.
Thats why i think one of the reasons for the delay is sorting out EU servers to host from.
Also haven't had many lag problems playing from UK to US because of this its pretty much the best netcode/speed for any mutiplayer Net fighting game ever.
It is perfectly playable with the PS3 pad and i even find it as easy using Analogue controls to do the moves!
Blasphamy i know but they still work.

That would be a FIRST for a 2-players game in the history of gaming.
If it was true...

The moral here to publishers is this. Write your game with localisation in mind from the start. Don't produce a version with hardcoded US English and then suddenly discover that you're screwed in Europe because its your own damn fault. Localisation isn't hard to do and the PS3 surely makes it relatively straightforward assuming you bother to use the proper system APIs.

@zero_cool

So show me where these dedicated servers are for the US version. Oh dear you talk shit.

Was it not GGPO.net that provided the peer-to-peer code.

I'm gonna get this game... I'd rather they fix it first though... I can wait a couple more months than the US for the game. It could be as simple as lower average broadband speeds in different areas to the US might influence what the EU QA see as a showstopper over here (as an example, if that were true).

The PSN is a fucking disgrace.

Complete lack of DLC for popular titles (I know this is a money thing but still it's fucking shit). Multiformat demos always come later. Complete lack of support on the SCEE end for the PSone classics.

You must have something wrong with your Internet connection then... there's loads of DLC for popular titles (LBP, Far Cry 2, Mirror's Edge, Burnout Paradise to name but a few). It's not always the case the multiformat demos come out later on the PSN store and I'm not sure what "support" you expect for PSOne classics... they all play perfectly well on my machine (as do all my original PS1 and PS2 discs).
