Capcom reveals TGS line-up

Three new games to show.

Capcom has unveiled its line-up for the upcoming Tokyo Game Show, taking place from 20th to 23rd September.

The majority of games on show will be for Nintendo platforms, although the listings show three new titles yet to be announced. Hopefully one of these will be Resident Evil 5, which we are hoping to play at the event.

Wii offerings will include We Love Golf, Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles, and the hugely promising adventure Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure. Mega Man Star Force 2 and Wantame Music Channel Doko Demo Style will be there for DS.

Elsewhere Devil May Cry 4 will be the headline act for PS3 and 360, with Sengoku Basara 2 HEROES aiming to prove there's still life in the ageing PS2.

We'll let you know as soon as the other games are named.

Dead Rising 2, Lost Planet 2, Streetfighter HD?

They all make sense, seeing as the firts 2 sold buckets.

"DMC4 get the hell out of my face you absolute wannabecool turd of a franchise."

Well, you can argue the style, but DMC3 probably had some of the best combat in a Dojo fighting game.

Dead Rising 2 plz plz plz plz plz
  • Santino #12 5 years ago

Sorry menage but i played a certain other game i won't mention years ago that spoiled me when it came to the combat system and enemy AI. The cheese of DMC3 (the intro, riding a rocket whooping???) was just the final straw, and when i saw a video of the main character in DMC4 (nero is it?) hitting an enemy to the ground and shouting SLAM DUNK....well...
  • Cloudane #13 5 years ago

Santino, it is just a GAME. I think I prefer something fun and exciting than most of the dreary and 'realistic' stuff we have to put up with these days.

It is like saying Commando or Predator is shit because it is cheesy.
  • WrongShui #14 5 years ago

I could live with Dead Rising 2 on PC.
  • Santino #15 5 years ago

i'm just saying there are better games in the genre i'd rather spend my time with, none of which are realistic. i can't help that DMCs style really puts me off to the extent i had to turn down the volume on the tv during a cutscene in case someone heard the cheese. there is good cheese like u mentioned in commando (lol awesome choice by the way) but then there is the grating (lol geddit?) variety.
  • Cloudane #16 5 years ago

Surely you enjoyed the actual game (once - in your case - you put the TV on mute) as the combat and styles system is perhaps the best I have ever used and witness; it makes going back to the original a rather difficult prospect.

I know the mood of DMC3 changed rather dramatically from the original but when the combat is so good - I couldn't care less. It is a much harder game too, which is nice.

maybe if i hadnt played NG first i may have been able to appreciate it more, but it felt like a step backwards in many ways to me. the enemies didn't seem as smart, and the combat felt less intense. but anyway guess this is getting off topic i'll say no more about it and start looking forward to resi 5 and zack and wiki

I can see that you wouldn't like DMC3 for it's over the top style and cheese involved (I love that shit). It's funny, but I never played NG, but the videos mixing dominatrix end bosses and big hulking dinosaurs didn't do it for me. It just felt to far fetched imo. To each it's own.

Another vote for Dead Rising 2 - One of the greatest games of all time (the original).

Don't want a PC port though cos Capcom do shit PC ports. Keep it special on the console.

My PC has Crysis to look forward to ;)

    DR2 @ TGS - may not be 360 exclusive.
  • tobsen #24 5 years ago

Anybody else here who shares the feeling that after DMC 1 the series went continuously downhill? The experience that was DMC 3 doesn't get me very excited about the fourth one.
  • Kiigan #25 5 years ago

DMC4 was playable at TGS last year, and it looked good and played well. Thought it'd be out by now!

    >"It just felt to far fetched imo"

As supposed to a half-demon man with a giant sword? O_o

    I don't care, I just want it.

">"It just felt to far fetched imo"

Hehe, yes, the DMC universe at least felt consistent (except for 2, which was awful). NG looked like it threw everything at you from plastic boobs to the kitchen sink. I'm not saying DMC is realistic, only more thought out.

But does all that matter when NG is still the better, more engrossing and longer game?
  • menage #29 5 years ago

"But does all that matter when NG is still the better, more engrossing and longer game? "

Maybe not, to each is own as I said:p

It's all in the eye of the beholder. Is it really longer then? Or just rockhard.
  • DUFFMAN5 #30 5 years ago

As a Resi fanatic I will probably give in and buy a Wii to play Umbrella C.
Would love Dead Rising 2, not completed the first yet, but a great game. I loved getting the car/van/truck and driving through loads of the undead!

    >"Is it really longer then? Or just rockhard."

    Oh it's longer, trust me.
