It was silly to have Ryu AND Ken in the Beta if they was only having 2 characters. One of them and someone else would have been much better because, lets be honest, while there are differences they are basically the same character.

bad09 that's Blasphemy at the altar of Street Fighter!

May the holy Dark Lord trinity of M Bison, Akuma and Gill have mercy on you.

(Fuck Sagat, he's a bitch).

Battles between Ken & Ryu were always the best anyway.

Ken is a more aggressive version of Ryu and is more attack minded whereas Ryu is a slightly more defensive character. These subtleties are very important when it comes to the balance between the two..

I've never understood the admiration the Street Fighter series at all although I confess I did rather enjoy Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes on the Dreamcast.

I'll certainly be checking out Street Fighter IV when it comes out too following gamesTM's gushing 9/10 review of the arcade version but I think this is a game that'll likely wash over me really. I've never been a big fan of 2D fighting games particularly... they feel too restricted after years of playing 3D ones. It doesn't help that the first proper fighting games I played were the 3D Tekken and Dead Or Alive on the PS either so 2D fighters feel almost retro in comparison.
